We had good service with the waiters.
Food was fare, but the cost wasn't worth the amount they served. Also, remember to bring cash if you don't want that extra percentage of your bill charged for paying with credit or debit cards.
Made an order to go and was really upset about what was served, and I don't live close by was my 1st and last time there.
This is a lovely little spot.
Recommend the antichucos ( veal heart) even if you're not a fan of organ meat. It's a good texture and flavor.
Also recommend the lucuma ice cream. I've never had the lucuma fruit before so I don't know how much of the flavor I was tasting was the fruit and how much was the icecream ingreidents, but it tasted sweet, slightly spiced (cinnamony, nutmegy) and very rich. The closest thing in flavor profile I can think of is like a rich and creamy maple syrup thai iced tea ice cream.
A cozy Peruvian restaurant in Elmhurst, a bit of walk from subway. The food was delicious especially when paired with the green sauce. Salad was a bit meh, cerviche, steak and fried squid all hit the spot followed by decadent desserts. Service was friendly and quick.
Every time I've been here I had a great meal. The portions are large and the service is super friendly. The restaurant is cozy with nice decor. Get the anticuchos!
The staff here is VERY FRIENDLY! They were very attentive. The food taste good but is not authentic to the Peruvian cuisine. We had the papa a la huancaina, it tasted like nacho cheese sauce, I don’t recommend it. We had the pollo a la brasa with salad and maduro. The chicken came out cold, this easily could have been avoided if the temperature was checked before bringing it out. We had the fish with yuca, yellow rice and onions. The rice was old, cold and hard. I recommend the fish alone. We had the sopa seco, it tasted very good but had potatoes (traditionally it does not have potatoes). Lastly we had picarones. They were very heavy too doughy and tasted like a donut. They are suppose to be very light and crispy. I do not recommend this if you have had picarones before. To drink we had chicha morada, it was very watered down and lacked flavor overall. Some chopped apples and a side of lime would have made a big difference. The weekend menu posted with this location is not available anymore but that is not their fault. The place looks new so hopefully they correct their recipes and temperatures.
The food was DELICIOUS and the service was wonderful! Although it was busy we were treated very kindly! Jessica was our server and she made sure we were taken care of truly a memorable experience! I’ve been to tons of Peruvian places in the area and this is my FAVORITE!
